I think I might have just remembered where my problem with Bodhi was ... I still haven't figured out how to change the screen resolution, so I'm still lookin' at a small rectangle.
There are things about it that I like a lot, though. For one thing, the default terminal emulator is Terminology. That's what I use on Solus, but I think Bodhi has a much more mature version of it. On Solus, it's always felt to me as if I were using a beta version -- usable, for sure, but not polished. On Bodhi, Terminology appears to be a released version.
Bodhi also has TimeShift, which I've used on other distros. I've gotten very accustomed to using Restic on Solus, but I think TimeShift is the easiest to figure out backup system I've ever used -- great for new users, for sure.
AisleRiot is present by default, so I don't need to install that myself. One of its hundred or so solitaire games is my favorite -- Spider solitaire. VLC is also a default, so I don't need to install that, either. Brent, you might appreciate seeing Chromium as the default browser. And the Synaptic package manager is another old friend.
I'm going to go away now, and try again to figure out that screen resolution thing. Without being able to go full-screen with this puppy, there's no way for me to enjoy my time with it.
