synth-ruiner A Boy and His Dog blew my mind. I will find it
Solarmasssynth-ruiner Tremors is insanely good fun and I can see that every year---but if zombie movies and pandemic movies (all set present day) can be sci-fi, certainly Tremors can. Semantics though. Great movie.
the fictional science in it is that a species of massive carnivorous sandworm evolved over millions of years in Nevada genres can be very broad and wishy-washy though. horror-comedy fits too, thriller fits too I think.
DasJott Nobody mentioned "Interstellar" by now. Love this movie!
I keep meaning to watch this, I've heard great things!
Solarmass Interesting concept, but rather boring movie without exciting scenes. My favorite scene is the opening of the movie.
But I only watched it once.
I wanted to love this as well. I always thought if he (his human version) wanted to talk to her, he was already living in the neighborhood...why pull the long con job on that warrior girl?
Let me temper that statement by confessing my own ignorance: I came into the movie about 20 minutes late and didn't get everything.
Solarmass yeaaahhh, definitely not an Evangelion fan.....
We could start an entire thread on anime series. Currently watching JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, just finished the current season of Fire Force among others.
D9 engaged me at least. Rough in spots. I liked I am Legend but struggled thru this just like you did for District Nine. Smith and the sets were outstanding but the director and writer were both awful. Like breaking even.
