brent Butterfly Effect
The Butterfly Effect (2004) with Ashton Kutcher was pretty cool.
I just plugged in headphones and will watch this review.
There is also Mad Max: Fury Road Honest Trailer! (One of my favorite Honest Trailer)

The Matrix has a slightly "cringe" reputation as all the things it originated have been done to death now, but I rewatched it recently and it's still an incredible film.
Dark Star is a favourite of mine- very weird, funny and unique.
Tremors is tremendous fun!
brent loved 70's relic A Boy and His Dog but can't find anymore
I have a copy of this
synth-ruiner Tremors is tremendous fun!
Comedy | Horror, not sci-fi I guess
Oh, there is a 2018 Tremors TV reboot by Vincenzo Natali https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5226220/
He also directed Cube (1997)
synth-ruiner A Boy and His Dog blew my mind. I will find it
Solarmass synth-ruiner Tremors is insanely good fun and I can see that every year---but if zombie movies and pandemic movies (all set present day) can be sci-fi, certainly Tremors can. Semantics though. Great movie.
I almost forgot!!!
TWO WORDS:
District Nine
Avatar, Tenet, Interstellar (Nolan is genius, sry)
brent District Nine
NO! I just couldn't have patience for that cr...low budget thing anymore. I had to suffer it once, was enough.
Nobody mentioned "Interstellar" by now. Love this movie!
It is too early to think about what else, but I will come back

the fictional science in it is that a species of massive carnivorous sandworm evolved over millions of years in Nevada genres can be very broad and wishy-washy though. horror-comedy fits too, thriller fits too I think.

I keep meaning to watch this, I've heard great things!

okay, approved!

I will definitely rewatch Interstellar, it has some epic scenes and great OST. The ending is rather weak imo.
brent District Nine
interesting movie!
George Avatar
I like Avatar, but it's not in my very top list. One of the best scenes:
George Tenet
Interesting concept, but rather boring movie without exciting scenes. My favorite scene is the opening of the movie.
But I only watched it once.
RobertTVarga I stuck with the premise and costumes and fought thru the pain
(yes, torturous in a couple spots)
edit: spell

I wanted to love this as well. I always thought if he (his human version) wanted to talk to her, he was already living in the neighborhood...why pull the long con job on that warrior girl?
Let me temper that statement by confessing my own ignorance: I came into the movie about 20 minutes late and didn't get everything.
What about anime?
Solarmass yeaaahhh, definitely not an Evangelion fan.....
We could start an entire thread on anime series. Currently watching JoJo's Bizzare Adventure, just finished the current season of Fire Force among others.
I would love to see a second part release of Avatar this year...
