99 packages (1,49 GiB) were processed at last Solus update and nothing to report so far.
I just note that LibreOffice made a jump in the numbering of its version: we went from the 7.6.4.1 to the 24.2.0.3.

penny-farthing we went from the 7.6.4.1 to the 24.2.0.3.
They changed their versioning system. They went from 7.6.4.x -> 24.2.x

So its not actually a big jump.
As it happens sometims, Firefox freezed my laptop, but during the update... After hard reboot I got a message along the lines of "something went wrong, please contact system administrator". I rebooted, hit e
to add the single
option at boot. Tried eopkg up
but it couldn't fetch files. Tried ping google.com
, didn't work. Tried to rollback, didn't work (no network). Then I checked the NetworkManager status:
systemctl status NetworkManager.service
It was enabled but not running, so I started it with
systemctl start NetworkManager.service
and ping was working, hurray! So I could eopkg up
and the system was fixed upon reboot. Quite a rollercoaster. Lesson learned: next times I'll check the forum for the update before running it, with all apps closed.
Heroic Games Launcher menu is missisng after update.
I can run the games from task bar but don`t see any entries, no shop no library etc.
Checked on KDE x11, wayland and budgie.
All the same
MikeK61 do you mean the UI is broken? If so this will help : https://help.getsol.us/docs/user/troubleshooting/#broken-ui-with-chromium-applications
Here's a weird one. I opened up Libreoffice calc after the update and the fonts looked wrong (liberation sans).
Installed the "Liberation" package and everything looks normal again.
I've never had to install this package before.
riffer that is weird.
I opened up Libre Calc = no Liberation available in pulldown
I opened up Libe Writer = no Liberation available in pulldown
I opened up OnlyOffice = I could set to Liberation; it was available
so I don't need to reinstall Liberation they are there. But why doesn't Libre see them? aren't Libre office and OnlyOffice looking for fonts in that same folder??
weirdness you are right

I quite like the Discord update cherry-picks :')

JTCPingas bet harvey likes them too
Another strange one from Libreoffice Calc. that really doesn't require resolution.
I colour code everything in my spreadsheets. I noticed that when I had a dark blue background colour with black text, the text colour has now changed to white.
Not a big deal for me but it might be something users might want to check, especially if the spreadsheet is being shared or embedded in a presentation.
I have a problem with all my Virtualbox guests (Win10, Win7 and WinXP) VMs and connected USB devices.
No USB devices inside a Virtualbox (Windows) guest VM can be accesses since the update this week. I have already started a discussion about this point, but got no useful answers yet. Maybe this problem gets a little bit more attention here (because for me it's imported to use the VMs with the USB devices).
Wini-Buh I dont use it but maybe this will help

Or at least something to check
Axios Thank you for your answer. I already checked and tried that. It doesn't solved the problem.
I also reinstalled all the Virtualbox stuff but without success. I see all the USB devices in the Virtualbox but they are not automatically connected and can also not connected manually to the VM... and all VMs worked on all PCs/Notebook worked well before the update.
I'm quite sure someone else must have the same problem...
vivaldi-stable 6.5.3206.63 cherry-picked.
Harvey vivaldi-stable 6.5.3206.63 cherry-picked
Was this done because a security threat was just fixed, or is it a change that we Vivaldi users might notice?
(I already upgraded Vivaldi on my laptop. I'm now wondering whether to upgrade it on the other 12 hardware and virtual Solus machines here.)
