ReillyBrogan BTW, let us know if you think this summarized changelog is something you find valuable or not.
I may not be your typical user, but I find it to be a very nice addition to the sync notes.
Top Job! ️

ReillyBrogan I like those a lot. It gives somewhat more insight then just looking at the package update list. It also shows how active the development is and might help attracting new users which might help raising more donations. Just restarted my small monthly contribution
But I would understand if you stop it because of the work something like this needs.
Update ok
Note for Firefox, it was no longer in French but in English, I had to redownload the language fr
ReillyBrogan Really liking the summarized changelog . Also happy
with update on LyX. Thanks

I love the way you organized the thing this week.
Much more explicit with a good taste of honesty here by giving credit to him/her who deserve it
unclemez @ReillyBrogan did the changelog part. He definitely did a great job!
The summarized changelog has been useful. Perhaps not essential for seasoned users of Solus, but it seems a very welcoming face to Solus for newcomers. It fits in well with the ethos of Solus as a good fit for home computing, making the significance of changes made by updates accessible to all.
Great work, and appreciated!
Steph Would you mind posting your firefox localization settings to this thread https://discuss.getsol.us/d/9689-firefox-dont-keep-language-setting-after-update/5

I read it all!

I posted here, because it was the first time, for the previous updates, it remained with the recorded language
I installed 100 updates (1.16 GiB) yesterday.
Note that Firefox, since this version 118.0.1, has implement an integrated translator, which seems to me a good initiative.
As for the weekly update report (which was a recurring request from @WetGeek , if I remember correctly), it seems to me to be a great initiative, because it may us to better understand the hard work of the team of Solus developers to make Solus evolve for the well-being of its users, and to be among the really interesting Linux distributions.
I noticed after the update that my computer consumes 5 Watts more than before.
So i checked CPU-X and the cores are running at 3600MHZ before they were running at 2200MHZ idle.
A little weiired.
CPU Ryzen 1800X
Mobo Crosshair VI Hero.
penny-farthing , has implement an integrated translator, which seems to me a good initiative.
unless it routes thru google then what's the point . but thanks for bringing this to my (our) attention. I have a sperate app for translations but would be nice to have on the spot in browser, will check it out.
brent unless it routes thru google then what's the point

Automated translation of web content is now available to Firefox users! Unlike cloud-based alternatives, translation is done locally in Firefox, so that the text being translated does not leave your machine. Many thanks to the various partners of the EU R&D Bergamot project.

Staudey Automated translation of web content is now available to Firefox users!
In the interest of full disclosure, one might point out that Vivaldi has also had this functionality (for a long time). Google is banned from my computers, so if the foreign text is being sent anywhere (which I doubt), it's not going to Google.
Does Vivaldi also allow translation of an entire web page ?
Good question. I don't think I've ever tried that. I don't very often view a web page that's not already in English.
I do know that the text areas can be streched much larger. Translations aren't limited to what will fit into that original small box. And I'm sure that scroll bars can come into effect at some point.
