A New Voyage
JoshStrobl I have been waiting, Happy beyond words, for this event. I volunteer to send Coffee when available! I have kept the faith this OS would have a future.
Fantastic . This news makes me very happy.
It's fantastic, I'm so happy for this OS, can't wait to see the future of Solus
I've been testing other distros, but kept Solus Budgie on my production computers. Nothing compares to it.
A big THANK YOU to the team for this very, very good news ! I'm all in for this journey !
I heard there was some interesting $#%$# going on over here so I decided to poke my head in @JoshStrobl - I also got an email saying my account was unsuspended which I thought was interesting.
Justin Yea been going through and trying to make sure accounts that were disabled for one reason or another are re-enabled.
Hate to be That Guy (but someone has to be, sooner or later) but I have to ask: when can we expect to get the first package updates of the "new" Solus ?
Rebuilding an infra more or less from scratch is not easy in the least, but those updates are loooooooong overdue.....
Addicted to Friday updates too ?

Yes. And more or less missing three months worth of Fridays
Re: Weekly updates, just a question.
The weekly update feature of Solus was part of the 'Old' (for want of a better word) structure.
In the unchartered waters ahead is it the intention to follow this tradition, or will updates come as and when required, regardless of what day in the week it is.
Im just assuming that Solus is going to still be a curated rolling release but what with the proposed Solus user repository happening sometime, will updates appear on a more frequent basis. Say along the Manjaro route?
seanragout for now "all bets are off" while we get everything back up and running. Ideally we'd get back to a more structured sync window - but with the tooling in the position it's currently at I think it'd be a lot to expect the syncs to increase when things settle down. This is something we'd want to solve for Solus V.
Yay! Glad to see Solus back! Are we going to get package updates soon?
Missed you guys - welcome back!
ikey O K Ikey,cheers

As soon as the next ISO comes out, going to check out Solus once again. This distro just keeps on bouncing back from dire situations, which is great!

that's where I'm at too. I'm ready for the .iso. No sense running the old 4.3 right now methinks. My hats off to all the users that stayed and install flatpaks for all their apps instead .
At the time I had no idea what proper "foss protocols" are when all security updates stop.

Just chiming in here seeing your first comment on our new journey:
Ikey, your work back in the days before SOLUS existed got me hooked to your fantastic OS and I have never since regretted installing it and installing all versions of SOLUS since!
I have been a true SOLUS Budgie fan and love this community and all you knowledgeable guys out there working on our OS!
Installed SOLUS Budgie also on quite a few family members' laptops (all ThinkPads of several generations, hooray!) and they all love(d) it and are still using 'your' feckin' fab OS (I admit to seeing you, Ikey, as SOLUS' creator)!
So so happy having you on-board and, whatever happened in the past: Let's enjoy our mutual journey ahead!
Thank you for joining the team, thanks also to Josh whose work and communicating skills I admire (that's a genuine praise, Josh, as I'm not an English native speaker).
Cheers, mates!
