RAinb0wStAr9938 I have used Gnome multiwriter and I didn't see safe graphics mode in the Solus boot screen, and all I saw was a blank screeen.
I think you've established that the problem is a kernel/driver issue, since Multi-Writer didn't resolve the problem.
I just booted into a live session using my Budgie USB and you are right about not seeing an option to boot with "safe graphics". I think I confused Solus with Ubuntu-derivatives, which do offer the "safe graphics" option. Duh.
I'm going to look into nomodeset, which is an Intel safe graphics setting that I've seen mentioned as a workaround in the forum. The users discussion nomodset must have a way to get it started. I've not used nomodeset, so I'm starting green. I'll point you to applicable threads if I find anything worth knowing.
Edit/Update: @brent @infinitymdm @Axios @WetGeek @Brucehankins Do any of you know how to use nomodeset in connection with booting into a Live session? I see nomodeset mentioned as a way to get around unsupported graphics cards when booting off a USB, but I'm not finding a way to use it. If I need to start a new thread, I will. but if any of you know, it would be helpful.
