How to speed up Files/Nautilus at launch?

Hello,

Since we have version 43 of gnome, Files is really slow to open on my Budgie, when I launch it from the panel, I can see its icon blink 4 times before seeing the window, same thing from the budgie menu, almost 5 seconds.
Is there something I can do?

sangheeta I get the spinning pinwheel not the blinking icon and about 2-3 seconds for me but that is still sluggish, agreed

I should but I can tolerate the couple seconds sluggishness right now

sangheeta For me it launches pretty quickly. Do you see anything when you launch it from a terminal, or are there suspicious in sudo journalctl -f while you launch it?

Edit: I assume this is still the case after today's updates?
