SOLUSfiddler Solarmass Tried to remove .config/nautilus but am not allowed: "It's a folder." Tested TROMjaro the other day because they claim to actually deal with these kind of inconsistencies in themeing or whatever messed up nautilus here. Not as good as it claims to be, but mind you, I tested the beta version of the OS (as far as I remember). Very frustrating, Brent, yes!
WetGeek SOLUSfiddler Tried to remove .config/nautilus but am not allowed: "It's a folder." Did you remember to use rm -r to make the deletion recursive?
brent Solarmass no changes materia plata-- will dump config. so open config/nautilus and throw out contents? or trash whole folder? thanks
Solarmass brent so open config/nautilus and throw out contents? or trash whole folder? not sure, just an idea create a backup (just in case) maybe
brent EbonJaeger never tinkered with Adwaita anything at any time. all icon/widget themes installed are from our stable repo. these look ok but I don't have your eye. also---is indexer mangled? I get spinning disk ball for a second or two when launching. More Maddening: retains NO settings at all. install/reinstall twice changed nothing. thank you for getting back
Solarmass brent this is where my toggle buttons usually stay: There is a problem with that theme, see how tiny those toggles are.
Solarmass another idea, remove everything in: ~/.config/gtk-4.0/ and maybe in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/ ! create a backup (just in case)
SOLUSfiddler I've reverted my update history by sudo eopkg history -t [# I wanted to revert to] but although the atrocious theme in nautilus has gone the calculator and calendar still look changed ("Mickey Mouse" theme, as Brent would call it). Cannot deal with it now and hope that someone of our fantastic Solus team will find a solution.
brent SOLUSfiddler think staudey said they (team) had to bite the bullet and update regarding the nautilus/libwaita stuff but as I remember he also said the kinks would all be worked out eventually. thanks for also biting the bullet: rollback. interesting you saved nautilus but calendar and calculator went mickey mouse... wonder if this whole thing is about gnome control center at the end of the day? random thought that just floated into my head
Solarmass SOLUSfiddler "Mickey Mouse" theme What theme it is? Anyhoo, Gradience app could be a workaround, here is a video about it 🙂
SOLUSfiddler And if anyone knows of a theme that wasn't changed by the recent update please let us know! It does look very Gnome-like and I hate the Tele Tubby design of Gnome!
Axios Uhh dont want butt in but I havent updated was going around and around with theme issues on this lenovo (Eyes cant take that blasting dark or blasting light themes) spent good part of last nite messing with it and I am using marwaita osx now its from gnome look .org its a greyish theme but seems more consistant across the board. And not sure how it would act with the latest update you have to download it unzip it and copy folder to your themes dir as admin. (Just info or ignore it..lol)

hdansin brent None that I have noticed. I find vinceliuce's work to be pretty thorough. Orchis, Vimix, and Graphite are nice too.
