WetGeek When a person (and now the person) most likely to influence the future direction of Solus has asked the question, I think it's not unreasonable for those of us who do use desktop icons to wonder why.
Beatrice asked the question -- and answered it for Budgie, a DE that Solus had control over at the time -- over a year ago (October 2020). I doubt that it is an active question for her at this time, and even if it is, it is out of her control.
WetGeek Note that I don't lose any sleep over it -- just wanted to point out that it's still a matter of personal choice.
That's fair, on both counts. It just struck me as odd, given the the question was asked, answered, and laid fallow for a year, so I was curious about whether anything had changed recently. I gather not.
