ReillyBrogan There have been no test packages available for 5.16 at all. It remains to be seen whether @DataDrake will go that route or just push the packages to unstable to test that way.
DataDrake ReillyBrogan I plan on landing 5.15 soon because we want to evaluate it as a future LTS release. After that, we'll probably hop to 5.17 when it is stable.
tomscharbach As a FYI, I notice that Zorin 16 is holding at 5.13, also past EOL. Usually, Zorin is reasonably current.
joluveba I updated my Intel desktop computer today in the morning, and 5.15.26 seems to be working fine. Later on I'll update my AMD laptop and I'll share how it goes.
tomscharbach joluveba Later on I'll update my AMD laptop and I'll share how it goes. Fine on an AMD 9220e-A9. Of course, that's a low-end ancient (circa 2017) processor. joluveba I updated my Intel desktop computer today in the morning, and 5.15.26 seems to be working fine. No issues on Intel, but no surprise there. Intel and the kernel developers work hand and glove.
jacojacker Hi! Here after the last kernel update, I am having issues when going into sleep state, after restart , the system is frozen. Ryzen 5600x - 2x3200 MHZ 8 GB Hyperx RAM
ReillyBrogan jacojacker I believe you are encountering this issue, which another Solus user experienced back in December when we were first testing the 5.15 kernel. It seems to affect anyone with a RDNA2 GPU.
jacojacker Thanks! Yes, it seems the same issue, apparently solved on 5.16 so I would've to wait until that kernel is released. Regards!
jacojacker Hi guys, just to let you know I have fixed the problem by running a check on corrupted files, and it appears some mesa libs were missing . The command I used : sudo eopkg check | grep Broken | awk '{print $4}' | xargs sudo eopkg it --reinstall Regards!
