Hello,

Here is my Solus!

I like the ubuntu layout just not ubuntu. So I customized my Solus to be more like the ubuntu layout with a couple changes.

I use adwaita with teal accent color and the gtk3 theme is adw-gtk.

I used the script on their github to change accent color in gtk3 apps.

I am not a big fan of distracting wallpapers so what i did i created an image on gimp with the color i wanted and used it as wallpaper.

Also, i really like the gnome extension : Quick Settings Audio Panel so i can manage apps volume directly from the quick menu setting

It's just false transparency, you need the screen background at the size of the screen, then with a screenshot containing the web browser, measure the area we want to be transparent which will serve as the size to crop to be placed as the wallpaper of the web browser's home page. It's all fake, but if you like your wallpaper and web browser, it's pretty fun.
Firefox now support custom wallpaper without css.

Simplicity and ease of workflow
Crystal Dock on Plasma (Compile from source and install)

Never used wayland that was the reason for the experiment KDE seems to work well
going test and setup XFCE and see how it compares.
Crystal-Dock sets up different and works some what different than plank but not issue once you understand it

Not that long ago, I made a Feedback post, which you can read here if you like.
One of the things was not being able to run Solus at work due to some of the work we do. However, I was able to find a way to get two of my main systems using Solus. These systems do not fall under the same regulations as my laptop that I have to take in to high secure facilities. On that laptop, I run Alma with the proper security settings and requirements. However, these systems do not have that requirement as they do not touch the sensitive information. So I figured I would share my business office to show Solus off a bit instead of just a screen share.

We keep things pretty minimal in our office. Jus some personal things from my kids.

I am thinking the exact same thing so may play with Aeryn/Wayland on the old laptop,
Truth be told I fired up the ventoy and threw half a dozen distros on it to look at first.

Axios Yeah, I have the same kind of issue at home. I collect vintage systems on top of all the laptops, servers, desktops, etc. The wife is not happy and occasionally gets me to sell something off. She was really upset when I opened up the Framework laptop, lol. I told her I was getting rid of two old laptops. I just didn't tell her they hadn't worked for 15 years and were sitting in the top of my closet. 😉
