    laky So whats the advantage of Budgie now that Gnome 3.36 has pretty much closed all the memory leaks and done significant improvements to response times?

        uudruid74 It's pretty much just a matter of taste.

        Some people prefer Budgie, some people prefer GNOME.

          laky I would also prefer to run Gnome on my laptop, if I even had one

              Solarmass Gnome kinda looks like those overpriced Macbooks (I don't really like them) maybe thats why I would want it to be my laptop DE preferences just for the looks 😃. Might even be better option to go with Plasma , since I left Gnome after 3.36 update didn't like how they changed few things that I liked about their DE. Budgie looks awesome but It still lacks some customizability options which is mostly Plasma field.
