I think probably the problem is a partial update due to Solus Software Center not handling eopkg hangs while downloading packages, is a known issue and will be fixed with the rewrite of the software center and the replacement of eopkg in favor of sol (is a dev team work, users don't need to do anything) and there's not ETA, since you did a rollback using terminal I think you'll be ok updating from there, tipe sudo eopkg up
and if it fails try again until it downloads all the updates then, it should be installing everything without issues.
