jppelt you're right, this just screams "oh, I run arch". 😂
I haven't found many distros available that don't come with some pre-installed software such as an office suite (or just document editor), mail client, IRC, etc. Even "lightweight" distros like Peppermint, and arch based distros like Manjaro and Garuda have a bunch of pre-installed software.
On a side note, I understand the love for Mozilla, but Thunderbird is just not an attractive mail client. It has good functionality and integration, but man, it's pretty rough on the eyes. I like the layout of Evolution, panels and such instead of tabs, but the best looking in my opinion is probably Mailspring. With Mailspring though I miss the integrated calendar and to-do list. Visually, it just seems to fit better with a modern clean looking DE like Budgie on Solus to me.
