Nic Try adding _netdev to the end of the line
That really got my hopes up, as it makes sense that the network would need to be started before network shares would become accessible. But when I added that to the end of the options column in what used to work, it still did not load those shares. Here's an example of what I ended up with, in case I might have misunderstood:
DiskStation415:/volume1/ISOs /mnt/ISOs nfs noauto,x-systemd.automount,_netdev 0 0
Of course, using mount -a
didn't work with this format, either, so I returned to this:
DiskStation415:/volume1/ISOs /mnt/ISOs nfs defaults 0 0
which does allow me to mount all the shares using mount -a
.
It's possible that I've misunderstood something, or some small difference might be causing it to fail for me. For example, should I also remove noauto
from the options field? Can you see anything wrong with the way I implemented it, or is that first example what you thought might work?
If someone could post an example of an /etc/fstab
entry that currently does work to automatically mount remote nfs
shares, that would be really appreciated! I've been waiting for months to hear that this has been fixed, but that hasn't happened yet.
