Justin Step one would be to update and confirm it's still an issue as 5.6.13
Done. I've asked about this several times, and my last query got zero responses from anyone on the team. My old /etc/fstab
settings for my NAS shares just used defaults
for options. A while back, I was able to change those to noauto,x-systemd.automount
, and that worked wonderfully.
For a while.
Then I needed to change back to the original /fstab
settings, because automount
no longer worked. And it still does not. I just checked, a few minutes ago.
This is an annoying issue for me (and obviously for others), because I frequently need to reboot one or all of my computers, and it requires starting a terminal and running mount -a
simply to get access to those shares again.
Anything that could be done to enable auto-mounting again would be a Very Good Thing!
