Linux13 When it finally boots, update Solus GNOME via the terminal (It should be listed under "System Tools" in the menu).

    Appreciate all the effort guys. Havent tried anything after doing the acpi thing. Thought that i should take a break. Wish me luck, although i have tested my ram using memtest86 i am still not satisfied so i am goinf to go test it again and see if it is my hardware or im just unlucky and stupid

    Linux13 Have you tried to add what I gave you earlier? Maybe this: acpi=off i915.modeset=1.
    Read about modeset and acp i and try different combinations of entries.

        pomon this is not really related to acpi error but why do i get a failed to mount /sysroot error.

          pomon it wont work at all. im going to update my bios and then ill see what i can do.

              Just noticed that oftenly Shitdows 10 dont really shut down but it hibernates. Check that this is not the case. It can be pretty hard to tell...

              Funilly I seem to have the same problem in a new laptop. Solus wont boot hanging in a black screen with
              Invalid acp audio mode: 0
              Havent really tinkered the bios. Mint boots but trackpad is not working. Havent tested other distros yet.

                Linux13 where did 2 videos come into play on a laptop? the intel is the main one? Maybe
                I am seeing it wrong? If there are 2 I would disable one and try it

                    maybe this can help you down in the comments is also your model...you probably need it for another os not for win7 like in video
