Justin
Ok to make everything clear for you and for anyone who may have experience on how to solve this issue.
I am using a PC that have Intel Ethernet model I217-V .
My PC is connected by cable to Linksys WAP300 ( a device that can act as access point, wireless media and wireless extender device), Linksys WAP300 is connected through wireless to Internet router.
it's working fine with Windows 10 and it was working when i first installed Solus into my PC but after restart
there is no connection and it's always on connecting loop.
so I tried to follow steps for trouble shooting from this website https://askubuntu.com/questions/717352/wired-connection-detected-but-no-internet-access-in-ubuntu-14-04-lts
command like netstat -r
is not available in solus so i don't know what it's alternative .
I made it static IP and these are the results :
ifconfig
eno1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr E0:3F:49:7B:92:D9
inet addr:192.168.100.155 Bcast:192.168.100.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

RX bytes:114716 TX bytes:47737
Interrupt:20 Memory:efe00000-efe20000
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Bcast:0.0.0.0 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:65536 Metric:1
RX packets:21 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:21 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:2000 TX bytes:2000
i tried to ping
but it was unreachable
then i entered this command:
cat /etc/resolv.conf
# Generated by NetworkManager
nameserver 1.0.0.1
nameserver 1.1.1.1
nameserver 8.8.8.8
tried to ping these name server but again it was unreachable.
and for your information i tried to connect it to another router with no internet it will give me a connection (this is with Automatic DHCP) but no IP address or gateway so i couldn't enter my router using the default gateway : 192.168.100.1 .
do you have trouble shooting steps like these that can help you or anyone from Solus team to understand the problem
that i'm having with my internet connection ??
