Clipgrab

ursprog

I can’t get the appimage Clipgrab to work. Clipgrab starts but I cant download anything.
Does anyone have an explanation or solution?

If you changed the appimage to an executable (https://discuss.getsol.us/d/1627-can-i-use-appimage-s-in-solus-if-so-how/2) and you still can't use it functionally,

then perhaps you need to do what this poster did (https://discuss.getsol.us/d/1650-the-appimage-for-onlyoffice-does-not-work): run it from the terminal and see what it says. It will provide clues.In this case, it was not shipped with the right libraries and was on the software maker's end.

After trying it has something about OpenSSL, I think the app compiled with an old version of OpenSSL.

I compiled it from source and the downloading working good but the browsing part is not working
If you want to compile it from source
sudo eopkg it -c system.devel sudo eopkg install qt5-base-devel qt5-webengine-devel cd ~/Downloads wget https://download.clipgrab.org/clipgrab-3.8.12.tar.gz tar -xf clipgrab-3.8.0.tar.gz cd clipgrab-3.8.0 qmake clipgrab.pro && make ./clipgrab

KingLucius good workaround but is the outdated openssl the reason browser part remains inoperable? seems like you are mostly there

brent No the code in general using QT old APIs that has ended the support, The code has to be modified to the new APIs and compiled again. I have no knowledge in QT/C++ I will try to look in the code but I think it's waste of time as youtube-dl is the best supported here Just look for a good GUI for it and that's it.
