Can I use Appimage's in Solus? If so, how?

I'm trying to use Freecad which has an appimage, but when I double click on the file, it says there is no program installed to handle it . So is there something I can install in solus to use appimage's?

Right-click it, "Properties", "Permissions", make executable, run it.
Or chmod +x filename then run it

You have to make the file still executable.
Also, it's a good idea to create a hidden folder in your home directory where to move this file.

mkdir ~/.bin
cd Downloads
ls -pl
chmod + x Name.appimage
mv Name.appimage ~/.bin

And you can double-click to install. If there is a question that you should integrate the Appimage into the desktop, please answer with yes dasn the program also appears in the menu.

this is just a placeholder because we do not know what the exact name looks like with you.
ls -pl
shows you the name. However, this is a directory and you are not allowed to copy the /.

Attention ~ / .bin is a hidden folder because there is a dot in front of the name.

With the + x the file is made executable on your computer.
If several users use your computer, the correct location for the AppImage would probably be below / opt. But you need root privileges again. If you're the only one using the program your home directory is correct.
