kyrios Same thing happened to me after update. It's keep resetting to 800x600 screen resolution in vm.

kyrios What graphics controller setting do you have selected in VirtualBox? I ran into this issue whenever I had VMSVGA turned on. If I had VBoxSVGA(what I have selected now) or VBoxVGA enabled my Solus Plasma VM would display normally. This is on a Windows 10 host machine. I don't know if the issue is with VirtualBox or the Solus Plasma virtual machine.

flanier I use the VMSVGA which is the officially recommanded driver for linux guests since VirtualBox 6

VMSVGA: Use this graphics controller to emulate a VMware SVGA graphics device. This is the default graphics controller for Linux guests.

This is supposed ot offer better performances, but to be quite frank, the VBoxVGA is better and it dynamically adapt the resolution when you resize the VBOX guest window which is a much important feature than supporting opengl 2.x

Slightly off-topic: Any suggestions on how to keep Plasma looking nice while also using Budgie?
Firefox looks ugly after installing Plasma on a system which started out with Budgie.

I'm not too happy with the Breeze dark theme, especially when using GTK apps. I hope the new color scheme will also be available for the light theme.

clauded I will still ship breeze color scheme so there will be always a light theme but with 5.17, plasma should get better support for gtk apps

Good color theme, it would be nice to have a similar color theme to gtk apps. I only changed the taskbar theme so have some transparency and also one color in konsole to match the solus dark theme.

that is pretty much what i have been waiting for, it seems too bulky atm and not at all as stream lined as something like budgy (doh) for example!

Worked again on it a bit, here is an plasma-desktop-branding eopkg for testing, don't forget after testing to reinstall the repo one 🙂

          how it looks

Any bugreports/feedback please with a screenshot

Girtablulu This is pretty good, it has a definite Budgie feel to it - personally i dont like those deep blacks, i much more like the light-dark themes like materia-dark-compact for example. I will give it a try in a VM asap and dig deeper if u want!

            Good work! 🙂

ok, i installed a VM, upgraded then installed with the plasma desktop sudo eopkg install -c desktop.kde.core and then hopefully installed your theme properly - and as you probably can see from the screenshot something is wrong! The Dolphin contents looks really borked (highlighted some folders just to show you). Changing icon theme or plasma theme didnt doo too much to solve that. what am i doing wrong?

to answer the other question, I want to bring the coloring somewhat similar to the rest of DEs if you wanna have a more light theme on plasma, there will be always be breeze-dark.

              for the others new eopkg

              fixed some more fixes 🙂

              alrighty!

I installed the iso testing-v1 couldnt find a newer one? But it was much better altho the theming is still not 100% there.. When i change themes only thing i notice that change is the panel changes but not the Dolphin window for example. But the Dolphin icons/text are there this time 🙂

Besides not looking in the right place for the ISO it looks like i needed to change the theme in the "Look and feel" section and NOT in the "Plasma theme" section. Fun times!

let me know if u need other screenshots @Girtablulu

yea plasma stuff gets set via look and feel, then everything will switch to solus-dark 🙂

I mainly looking for issues, wrong coloring, lack of colors or just plane wrong ones 🙂
