EbonJaeger Mmmm Most likely something was pushed on Unstable that these packages depend on. One moment.
brent I'm smiling from ear to ear in case you can't see me, Success. Did the holy trifecta or dc,rdb & rmo then tried again via you original ebon folder. NICE!!! Now what?
EbonJaeger brent Now what? Now to wait and see if it fixes it for other users. I noticed that some people have a slightly different backtrace, and we need to know if this fix also fixes that, too.
brent EbonJaeger ~~~there was someone on this thread or elsewhere that said user indicator applet was a dead applet. it is. can't shut budgie down that way. shutting down thru menu also fails. will do it in terminal. passing it on. goodnight all.~~~~
brent still for the record: solus menu space time/date space alerts no space radioytray no space networkconnection no space volume no space trash no space userindicator no space raven
EbonJaeger brent Probably a result of this. Let's not discuss other issues here, and keep this thread hyper-focused on the crashing issue. Thanks.
brent EbonJaeger Let's not discuss other issues here, and keep this thread hyper-focused on the crashing issue. Thanks. we won't thanks. solved it anyway. will edit
elfprince Looking forward to the official 'fix it' by the dev team. Holding off the updates till then. Need my computer to work.
brent elfprince smart. at Buddies three of us have confirmed this works. hopefully more Solus Budgie users that had panel problems (if there are more) will also confirm https://github.com/BuddiesOfBudgie/budgie-desktop/issues/766#issuecomment-3508669290
elfprince brent However, if my Budgie crashes, how can I fix it? Need concrete steps, like 1, 2, 3 from a dev. 😅 Not a tech guy over here.....
brent elfprince I think eventually they will have you install some packages which will never let you get to the crash stage to begin with. the old 1-2-3 will come methinks 😀
brent brent user indicator was reactivated after reboot. then used it to reboot a couple times to test. This button is functional now. Please disregard previous dispatch.
Sebastian I installed the packages Evan provided and reconfigured my panels the way I a had them before with all the applets I had prior to crash. Then I added many spacers again in top panel and some to bottom panel and can confirm that no crash can be observed. Great job!
