not sure where the icons come from tho.
I think it may just be nice to have colored text in place of icons I always have trouble translating the icons..
Have to think about it for abit..lol

Axios the first two icons don't match anything in my fastfetch. I think the 16GB matches my Swap and/or memory--one of those two. and maybe the hour glass is imaginary i.e. solseek was calculating something when I took the picture.

So the icons are straight from Fastfech I do not change them. Not sure why they show different. You can change the settings in the solseek config to be text instead of icons. I will see if there is anything I can do to correct them for the next update.

Duh didnt think to look in config.

I looked at fastfetch help file they put wayyyyyyyyy to many options in it...lol

My laptop for some reason doesnt have the text in the config file but my plasma does so I
didnt think of it.
I am going fix that later.

I have been working on the back end a bit to modularize the system package to be able to support both eopkg and moss. Which is still being worked on. I also cleaned up a little around the fetch on the welcome page.

Fastfetch will now be optional. Fastfetch is still recommended, but if you do not have it installed, the Solseek has a basic fetch function built in. Example using the internal fetch...

Now if you do have Fastfetch installed, I have cleaned up the formatting and also added a 3 option. Options are Icon, Text, or Both

Another option for those that like to configure every little thing and want their own custom fastfetch config you will be able to do so. One note, due to the limitation of how fzf works, you cannot use image logos and ascii logos don't work great. So it is more of an info tool. You will be able to set a path to your config which will override the built-in ones. Here is an example of that...

but having for others way to spice up abit if they want is cool.
This and the side bar work you did I think are great improvements.

Have been using Solseek perty much exclusive has been working great for updates.

AlphaElwedritsch I hear you, none of this adds any real complexity for the app. \
The Fastfetch stuff is just their config files. I just enabled a setting that allows formatting to work properly in FZF which was a bug. So it now uses the fastfetch config properly.
The built-in fetch was something I wrote a long time ago and is simply to fulfill a request where a few users didn't have or want fastfetch but wanted the info.
The use your own config option was a one-line add to take care of anyone wanting anything more than the base style. So that I do not have to worry about it again 😉

My main focus is getting the codebase modularized to keep things simple, but let moss support be implemented for future Solus as well as for AerynOS.

Calibre has always been overkill for my needs so I uninstalled it and went e-reader shopping on Solseek.
Ereader, e-reader, epub terms did not work in the search I remembered it was package names only. Then I went to desktop apps, guessed 'office' correctly and navigated quite easily with the up and down arrows. It was speedy.

I went with the very light Foliate from repo. I proceeded to install. That was that.
Before I would use Solseekto shop then go back to terminal and install. This time I used Solseek for the whole enchilada. Quite fast.
As long as you got those categories and that category that's fast to browse (you absolutely do), one does not need any keywords--lesson for myself.

Hello everyone, I was interested in this application and I downloaded it, I tried it and I liked it, very interesting and clear an alternative to normal stores, but after a short time using it an error is shown that informs:
"Error, Couldn't unpack file to target path.: No space left on device.", after that error the system crashes and a screen comes out saying that an error occurred the system must be rebooted, I really don't know why that happens. I use the Budgie desk, Solus 4.8.
I hope you understand I don't speak much English, I used a translator 🙂.

df -h

stocc I did what he told me, I placed the lines of code in the terminal and it shows me the following:

Then I opened solseek I used it for a while and I noticed that the /tmp is filling up while I am handling the program, then suddenly when filling up I think the error comes out for a full space.

But maybe that's a problem, if that's why. Excuse me if suddenly this topic that I am dealing with here is not for these threads.

Solseek doesn't really load anything to tmp. It does call eopkg and flatpak actions, but it does not use /tmp itself. Everything Solseek does is done within the .cache/solseek folder in your home directory.

That said, that is a pretty small /tmp directory size. Generally, the recommended minimum for a modern Linux desktop is 2-4GB and even that can push it, as it can quickly fill when actually using apps. It can cause crashing and other issues. How much RAM do you have installed?
