Keep in mind a couple of things, tough.

• Looking at the repo shows that the latest activity on it is from two years ago. There's also a bunch of PRs that's been sitting there for years, meaning that the project is either effectively dead or nearly so
• Plank, as far as I remember, is X11 only and doesn't work on Wayland. Everything that's locked on X11 is either dead or going to die in the (relatively) close future, since X11 is for all intents and purposes in maintenance mode pending sunsetting. Even Budgie is going to transition to Wayland only in the (relatively) close future, so if your use case is Budgie + Plank.... it's not going to last.

"Aggressively" ?

One of our values in Solus land is "be kind". With this in mind, we try to avoid assumptions that someone is giving advice in bad faith, or assign negative associations like passive aggressiveness without evidence. It's better to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when they are volunteering their time to answer questions.

Ubuntu Budgie has their own vision of Budgie. Plank is 3rd party dock app, not part of Budgie project. Budgie has its own option to create native dock if you want it.
