Wayland. It just seems to have so many features straight out of the box. I don't game or use Nvidia graphics so there are no compatibility issues. I like the KDE range of programs and that when using a different wayland based distro I mostly know what to expect from the installed software. Plenty of quality updates, everything is loading faster than six months back.
What display server do you use?
brent year...but isn't Fedora or another Distro already doing Budgie/Wayland.
Josh is developing Budgie components for Wayland while using Fedora, and fossfreedom is testing a Budgie Wayland session with UbuntuBudgie. Both efforts are important, but are not ready for anyone else to try. It's all pretty exciting, though!

Just tried wayland with my GT 1030 and 560 drivers and it works fine so either the new card has fixed it or something has changed. Seems smooth now.
Edit: Wayland doesn't work with anydesk so will have to stick with X11.
I use budgie still not doing anything heavy anymore so it works out great.
Except my always on going battles with (Budgie menu)
My computers:
Main computer, Solus KDE, Wayland only
Laptop no 1, Solus KDE, Wayland only
Laptop no 2, Solus Xfce, X11 as the only option
My issues with Wayland:
- Minimise to notification area does not work in Qbittorrent, or Amule, even if it is marked. Interestingly, Close to notification area does work.
- There is no way to make Numlock Autostart work in Wayland.
On the other hand, I really love that now, thanks Wayland, we can adjust the Mouse scrolling speed in Linux, like in Windows. It was about time!

X only. Wayland still does not support proton or wine natively, and xwayland makes games janky. Also still have issues with context menus being black. Also does not work with Anydesk. Still not there yet.
I've been exclusively using Wayland since 2023 with Radeon and Arc graphics.
Thank you very much! That solution fixed it.

X11 only with KDE because I want to be able to calibrate the screen (and the apps) which I don't think is possible with wayland, when it will be possible I will probably switch to wayland. I suspect that 6.2 has something new in this sense, but I still have to understand
