fooyin (a foobar2000 clone)
User_007 Thanks for testing! Cue support is underway and will be in the next release.
Layout editing works by editing the widget under the cursor and its parent splitter. If you remove a splitter, it will remove all of the widgets inside. I'll be putting out some documentation on this to make it clearer.
Window size should be remembered when storing from tray, so I'll look into that.
@ludouzi Thank you for making such a great media player and for offering information here. <3
BruceElephant Just saw your package request. good luck. love the grassroots effort here, would love to have in repo as well.

I've been using fooyin on my EndeavourOS install for about a month. I love it.
BruceElephant I would like to know if you would use fooyin (a foobar2000 clone) if it would be available in the Solus repositories.
YES, I would definitely use fooyin on my Solus laptop if it were available in the Solus repos!
brent Apologies for the late answer, I was away.
Thank you! But I only acted as per Solus team's guidelines. You see, when you post a package request they ask what kind of users (and how many) will use this package. I felt that starting this thread was the best way to find this information. : )
Weee!! \o/
I'm happy to share that the package request has been approved. Hopefully someone will volunteer to maintain it.
BruceElephant Time to learn packaging!
Hope you all enjoy! I will maintain this is solus.
Hmm .. I can't find it in the repositories yet.
Lucien_Lachance Ah! That explains it. Thank you for the information! : )
And thank you @androidnisse! I'm so excited, I can't wait to try this! <3
Usually is a sync Friday/Saturday depending on where you are. So just a little bit more.
I will check it out too, thanks!

Ok, I installed this player and played with it for about 15 min.
This is my kind of player i.e. I don't need to add my whole music folder for it to create a library database. I can create playlists and drag any folders to it to play, nice ️
I recreated my favorite layout (there is edit mode) where I have 3 panes: playlists list - playlist - big album cover art.
It was pretty easy.
- I couldn't find settings how to change the font size
- volume button is horrible
- album cover art can't go bigger
- I wish UI was more modern and minimal
Maybe I would make it my main music player if not Tauon, which looks more minimal but have a number of little things I can't live without today, for example - auto name playlist when adding files or middle click to add song to the queue..
I will keep it installed.
Version 0.5.0 is already released. Pushed to repo so it will go in on next sync. ️

Thanks for bringing us Fooyin.
For all who can't wait with v0.5.1 can download the package from the unstable repo and install it from disc without switching the whole system to the unsable repo.
But alsa-lib needs to update first to release 38.
alsa-lib-1.2.12-38-1-x86_64.eopkg
fooyin-0.5.1-3-1-x86_64.eopkg
looking forward to trying it. currently on gnome and waiting for plasma 6.1 for a clean install
thank you for adding/maintaining it @androidnisse
