TeamViewer 3rd party app

I dont use it but it started up just fine.
Whats the commands to remove it?

Please try this:

sudo eopkg it teamviewer-15.47.3-85-1-x86_64.eopkg

If the old version works for you, I will revert.

you must be missing a dep? and I dont remb what they were 2 qtcontrols and something else
I ran the exec from the tar (I thought what the heck) something was installed that was not.

If you are talking about removing the additionally dependencies pulled in via my command you will have to use eopkg hs to figure out what to remove. Unfortunately rmo and rmf do not seem to be doing their job in this instance.

If you are talking about teamviewer needing additional dependencies to work , I do not believe so. Testing in a clean VM it works just fine as it is, new and old version. So there has to be more to it.

Harvey Ok I deleted the teamviewer cache
Now back to square 1 with same output from terminal and it wont run
should it not be making that directory when run

I looked the tar teamviewer did not create that directory
Ok enuf I dont want to confuse the matter.

Note: I restored that directory from trash and it still wont run

1 if i uninstall the older version and install the newer from repo (It will not run)(Repo or tar same previous error)
2 If I uninstall the newer and delete the teamviewer cache / and then install the newer again (everything works)
(Both installed and tar)(Newer version)

I tried it twice just to make sure

Note I forget on #2 above if you try run before a reboot it says dameon not running but after reboot it works
at least on my machine

OP please try deleting cache and testing newest version.

I tried everything above this morning without luck but on my lunch break it suddenly started working again. The only thing I could think of is if I was running a program that conflicted with TeamViewer but I'm not sure what program it would be. If I do figure it out, I'll file a bug report with them. Thanks for all your help!

I am sure harvey will comment on it I think he maintains and updates it.

When you did all those steps did you reboot at anytime or when you came back from lunch turn the computer on?
And the newer version?
I also tried it again and got those crazy same results on my computer but in the end it works.

Axios I rebooted a few times during it all. I'm on the newest version. It is a mystery to me. Just glad it is working and that nobody else seems to have had the issue.
