Sync Updates for Week 47, 2023
- Edited
It's been an hour now, and Telegram hasn't crashed even once. I'm very optimistic at this point, because prior to this update, it would've crashed several times by now. I'd bet a lot that it's now fixed.

WetGeek I dont know anything about telegram but wonder if its not connection
issue if it connects to a server and is not peer to peer.
just thinking.
I had issues with updates for months on two machines no updates and it magically started working and no problems since but boy it drove me crazy!!!
I looked at everything kept coming up no issues go figure.
Unable to update
MarkCalaway looks like a local dns problem.
WetGeek I was able to reproduce a further crash on receiving notifications. Does that sound like what you're experiencing?

I'm able to open https://cdn.getsol.us/repo/shannon/eopkg-index.xml.xz in browser. I'm also getting limited connectivity notification.

ReillyBrogan I was able to reproduce a further crash on receiving notifications. Does that sound like what you're experiencing?
Exactly. It seems to be closely related to getting a message from the person I'm conversing with. Tonight it was especially bad, because a friend in Chicago is showing me how to do a financial prodedure involving cryptocurrency, and it's requiring a lot of back-and-forth wtih screen captures.
I'm pretty sure I'm seeing just what you're desccribing.
I'm sure the reason I had an hour without any crashes earlier is because I wasn't using Telegram the same way I was more recently. I'm tired and sleepy right now, though, so I can't swear to what I was doing at that time.
MarkCalaway does ping google.com
works?

EbonJaeger dino 0.4.3
Yay, it got merged. Anyone that chat via XMPP/Jabber can try this. XMPP is decentralized messaging protocol similar (but not the same) as matrix. More info about dino and XMPP. Cheers!
MarkCalaway does /etc/resolve.conf
exist by any chance?
MarkCalaway that's not right, we switched to systemd-resolve a few months ago and it should be replacing that file with a symlink. When was the last time you updated?
ReillyBrogan 3 weeks ago, for now I'm able to update system after changing dns configuration in router options to 1.1.1.1
.
MarkCalaway is the systemd-resolve service running? If you reboot your system is /etc/resolv.conf replaced with a symlink?
