ReillyBrogan I was able to reproduce a further crash on receiving notifications. Does that sound like what you're experiencing?

Exactly. It seems to be closely related to getting a message from the person I'm conversing with. Tonight it was especially bad, because a friend in Chicago is showing me how to do a financial prodedure involving cryptocurrency, and it's requiring a lot of back-and-forth wtih screen captures.

I'm pretty sure I'm seeing just what you're desccribing.

I'm sure the reason I had an hour without any crashes earlier is because I wasn't using Telegram the same way I was more recently. I'm tired and sleepy right now, though, so I can't swear to what I was doing at that time.

EbonJaeger dino 0.4.3

Yay, it got merged. Anyone that chat via XMPP/Jabber can try this. XMPP is decentralized messaging protocol similar (but not the same) as matrix. More info about dino and XMPP. Cheers!

MarkCalaway that's not right, we switched to systemd-resolve a few months ago and it should be replacing that file with a symlink. When was the last time you updated?

Update to Telegram cherry-picked to fix the issues with notification crashes.

I was back on Solus within three minutes of reading your post. It feels great to be back. Now I'm just hoping it's for real this time, but that will take a little more time to find out. Thanks very much for all your help with this.

WetGeek just hoping it's for real this time

Indeed it is. I've been using Telegram since I got up at about 3am this morning. There's been nary a hiccup. Although my Sparky VM was a valiant stand-in when I needed it, it's surely good to be back on my laptop again.

Thanks for cherry-picking this, Reilly. You da man, for sure.

MarkCalaway You mistyped the second time, /etc/resolve.conf there's no e after the v. So it should be /etc/resolv.conf
