Just got back into Solus after a few months, because it was not working properly on my machine alongside all the things that happened earlier this year, and just got a blast after installing it. Solus has a special place in my heart since it was one of the first linux distribuition that i get into, learn most of the things about linux, testing new things, breaking it and recovering, also seeing the beautiful comunity it have, always helping me throughout my problems. SO I SAY PRAISE THE AMAZING SHIP CALLED SOLUS AND THE GREAT WORK THAT THE TEAM IS DOING ON IT, i'm very happy to come back.

gnomo223 . Solus has a special place in my heart

yeah solus does that. and it's so hard to articulate or sensibly explain. or shake. home in every respect.

man these unmemorable distros come and go, and like you I was forced to flee when the updates stopped,

but the second (actually I held out for 4 days so I get my stuff out of fedora before nuking) solus came back I had that same thrill after the 4.4 upgrade this year. welcome back. I feel everything you are saying.

Not sure why you did that.
On win i seldome did update more than once a year so i didnt worry much when updates stopped here.
    I did just wait.
    Eventually all was good again.
Iǜe tried many distros before i landed here, but it didn
t take long to realize this is it for me.

    Phiqu Solus feels like home.

Yes, to me as well. In the seven years I've been here, I've reviewed a lot of other interesting distros, never with the intention of finding a replacement for Solus, but just to see what's being used elsewhere. And none of them could ever rise to the level of Solus.

A couple of them came close, and I used them for a while during the Solus Troubles early this year, but as soon as Solus came back, I did, too. As you say, it just feels like home. I hope that never changes, at least as long as I'm still able to use a computer (I'm 76).

And the Solus forum, which I think of as "the United Nations of Solus," is also unique among distros. It's a big part of why this distro is so loved by its users.
