Vivaldi no longer adapts to plasma. Previously I had a theme in Plasma which was also under Vivaldi. I had the buttons for increase, decrease and minimize on the left side. That's how it was with Viladi so far. Now it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Why could that be?

A lot of updates ago, Vivaldi "hijacked" those Plasma settings. If you want to have the buttons on the left side, you have two options:

  1. Use Vivaldi native settings. Go to Settings > Appearance, and in Window Controls Position, select Left Side. You will not be able to choose the order of the buttons, though.

  2. Enable the KDE Plasma native window. Go to Settings > Appearance, and mark Use Native Window. Restart Vivaldi. Once you have the Plasma native window on, you can go to KDE Plasma native System Settings > Appearance > Window Decorations > Titlebar Buttons bar, and set the buttons to your taste.

If you didn't understand some instruction, please let me know and I can show you screenshots.

I'm just wondering whether you had the "Plasma Integration" installed in the Vivaldi extensions?

Yep, I have the Plasma Integration add-on in all my browsers, Vivaldi included. 🙂

I was wondering if it might make a differrence if you temporarily disabled it.

I tried disabling it, and no difference.

Anyways, Vivaldi adapts to Plasma, provided you use the Plasma native window.
