After the updates on Saturday, my wifi stopped working. Reinstalling broadcom-sta-current and broadcom-sta-common did nothing, and checking for broken packages revealed only python3 and perl-to-ssl-socket as broken, but reinstalling those did nothing either.

Plugging in another USB wifi adapter let me connect to the Internet.

Rolling back was not possible as gnome-standard-themes-32bit is no longer in the repo.

Finally, NetworkManager and ifconfig all see the device and use the driver, but scanning for networks via iwlist wlp2s0 scan does not return any networks.

E: The solution here did not work either.

Are you sure it's not working? Try this:

    1. Left-click on the wifi indicator and select Connect to Hidden Wi-Fi Network...
    2. From the Connection field in the Connect to Hidden Wi-Fi Network window, select your named connection.
    3. Click Connect in the lower right side of the Connect to Hidden Wi-Fi Network window.

I believe there is some kind of issue with some (?) broadcom wifi cards with newer versions of network manager because I have the same issue under Debian Unstable.

downhill Yup, tried that too. "Network <SSID> not found".
nmcli d connect <SSID> also says the same.
