INDUSTRYFAME Hi, I was wondering if there is possibility to set up graphical encryption like Ubuntu and Fedora did. Right now on Solus i have full disk encryption and during boot I'm asked to decrypt disk in terminal like style. Thanks,
synth-ruiner davidjharder they mean being prompted for a password after being booted into a graphical session. so probably not full-disk encryption, but an encrypted partition or home directory or something.
davidjharder I agree that would look a lot nicer for those of us who use encryption. The reason (in the past) why we did not have a splash screen is because it added boot time. See (for example) this old discussion https://discuss.getsol.us/d/4560-black-white-splash-screen-for-solus
jppelt Interesting as I always disable the GRUP delay to save time via - sudo nano /etc/default/grub...GRUB TIMEOUT is always set to 5 and I set it to 0. I think it would give it a more polished 'first look.' Regardless, I always encrypt my hard drive at install.
