how to install xtrlock on solus?

there is a useful lock tool for X display on debian. can I use it in solus?

hmdshariati looks like the debian source has a tar.gz file you can work with. There's a dozen github spinoffs of this app with 3-line install instructions---seemingly easy,
You cannot install a deb package on solus.
You can install a tar.gz on Solus if the rundeps are solus-compatible.
Find out about the rundeps, and you'll know. All you can do is try to make and see what happens.

also found a distro description that says: "Xtrlock is a very minimal X display lock program, which uses nothing except the Xlib library."

now the questions is, does Solus use Xlib or have something compatible to Xlib?
The answer to that questions I will defer to more knowledgeable users.
