ere02 update the snap for sure.
try the flatpak Joplin just to see it works.
when a sandboxed up will not talk to the system then its maybe software or result of an update.
sudo eopkg check
will rule in or rule out anything broken
a rollback (see help page) will restore you to pre-update status...but you will never know what caused it and you will have to update eventually.

hmm. it seems to me that I really have a "broken" system here. Everything - exept the snap repos....- work fine here. A rollback always gets terminated by the line:
System error. Program terminated.
Repo item python-enum34 not found
i can't search or install python-enum34 with sudo eopkg install python-enum34
I guess I have to life with that untill I am back in Germany. Than I can install Solus again. Here in China the bann of google and co really sucks hard.

WetGeek I remember also knowing nothing about that stuff like the OP. Linux is nothing if not a very large, Acronym-driven project. hell, someone in an article recently spelled out ARM, something I heard of for years but had no idea what is stood for until 48 hours ago (it means Advanced RISC Machine....)

brent I think it's sort of a type of CPU (architecture?). I am not accurate anyway but maybe this helps searching.
What I faintly heard about, is being fast/effective at the expense of rarely making some errors. That's likely not accurate as well.
