My Solus Session is Broken

Hi,

I'm using the latest version of Solus, with the Budgie Desktop. I have not logged in a while, because i'm not working, and today, when I logged it says: There is something wrong with my session in a white screen and a computer with an X in the screen.
Then it pop a notification saying i must update
And then, nothing happends and i only can restart o quit my session.

I tried to restart to a recovery option, or a safe environement in which i can upgrade, but there is not such option (or i can't find it)

what can i do? I want to recover my installation instead of reinstall.

Calaat On the login screen, press CTRL+ALT+F1 to switch to a TTY. Log in there and run sudo eopkg up to update the system. Reboot and see if you're able to login again normally.

[deleted] i've manage to do It, and to update the falpacks and Snaps to.
The problem remain the same.
I can't login
It stay a White screen with the message something went wrong.

I've tried and it stuck una a black screen with a White horizontal bar sparkling.

I' ve wait 15 minuts yo see if anything happens with no luck.

Calaat Try CTRL+ALT+F2 or CTRL+ALT+F3
It should bring a terminal login.

I had this in last update, the culprit was the keyboard layout icon. Fixed with: budgie-panel --reset --replace &

lf-araujo Resetting should no longer be necessary; if they're fully up to date, then they have the patch for Budgie Desktop that stops the issue.

What is really needed is journalctl logs to give some direction.

Anything works.
I've try Everithing you posted and my Solus still Broken.
It can be because i use an Nvidia Graphic card, i can be i change a lot of things in the Solus bar, It can be a lot lf things but my session is just broken

Calaat You need to provide journal logs. There's literally nothing else we can do without them. Switch to a different TTY after seeing the crash, run sudo journalctl -b0 > session-bad.log and then copy that to a flash drive or something and then upload it to pastebin from a separate computer. Share the link for that here.

Thx you all, i've try what you told to me and nothing works.
I just change the OS, for a while.
I don't like to be expose to self destruct OS.

Solus for sure is not a self destruct OS, it's not perfect though, but based on this thread, probably a point release OS could be a better fit for you like ubuntu lts, linux mint or something like that.

Probably a good idea. We may be trying to help a 12-year old here. He's not taking a very adult attitude towards the help he's been getting from the forum.

Well they did not do everything that was asked So its there choice.
(He was asked to provide logfile he did not)
I feel like am in a time warp on here sometimes..lol
If you dont want the help dont ask for it.
The help provided for a free Os in this forum is above par in my opinion with people truely willing to
help.

On that note Had gnome do that to me one time It was a bear finally one day I booted to live
did disk check and repair and it booted right up. (So thats one my first steps in trouble shooting anymore
also it happened after an update)

Axios yeah plenty of people offered to help, not our fault we can't troubleshoot issues if someone doesn't give us the log files we need

WetGeek Ya or somebody even trying make solus look bad who knows whats on the other end.
Computers are hard understanding for some people to grasp sometimes.
