Howdy,
A while back I followed a howto similar to this one to make it possible to play audio through a bluetooth speaker at the same time as my analogue stereo speakers cable connected to my desktop: How to Play Sound Through Two or More Output Devices in Linux
In the Budgie Control Panel under Sound > Output, the drop-down menu used to offer the choice of "Simultaneous Output - Line Out and Headset Crossley", in addition to just the Line Out and just the Crossley bluetooth device (and some never-used digital and HDMI options).
Unfortunately, the Simultaneous option is now missing. I'm not entirely sure when it stopped, it's been some time since I last tried to use the option. PulseAudio Preferences is still installed, but the menu now has two separate entries for the Crossley bluetooth device (this is new) and the other audio options are still the same.
I noticed when I tried to stop PulseAudio with pulseaudio -k
I got the following error E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Failed to kill daemon: No such process
. I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning that I've been using the same desktop installation since late 2021 (but everything is up to date).
I'm not sure where to start looking. Output of aplay -l
