I truly understand the desire for such a version since I install Debian Unstable using Debian Net Install. I also understand the development team's desire not to spend time on such a version. So, I'm seeing an opportunity for a community member with the appropriate skillset and know-how to maybe create a community net install version.

downhill I don't think the core team members will let people put together net install in the name of Solus.

yursan9 I'm not sure how they could prohibit it. They may not allow it on the Solus site, but someone could set something up on a separate site.

The one problem I think you might run into with a net install version of Solus is the fact that some packages are tied to specific desktops; e.g. workrave requires the Mate desktop. You can work around that by compiling on your own, but you may end up compiling quite a number of packages.

Because it has our branding. I want to make things perfectly clear: You are not permitted to produce modified or unmodified ISOs with Solus branding and redistribute them.
