Using an Epson scanner

Hi.
I managed to set up my Epson ET-2715 for printing. I installed the Epson printer driver package first.
But if i try to use the scanner then Solus doesn't find it. I have tried Gnome Document Scanner and Iscan.
I have another pc with Linux Mint and there the Scanner work just fine scanning over WIFI.

Any suggestions?

Does your printer/scanner have a USB port to accept a thumb drive? When I do a scan with my HP all-in-one printer, I don't need to use a computer at all. I insert a thumb drive into the USB port and use the small screen and controls on the printer to tell it to do a scan. It places the result on the thumb drive. Perhaps your Epson would work similarly?

tflovik epsonscan2 package from flatpak will fix this. works for me. I have an epson scanner

ps--should detect. keep refreshing, in worst case scenario I had to install grscan2pdf, have it see the scanner. then launch epsonscan2 then kill grscan. but I'm pretty sure epsonscan2 will detect it

Unfortunately it doesn't have a usb port where you can insert a thumb drive. It has that square size port that you can insert a cable to connect to a pc via usb, but even if i use that cable connected to the Solus machine it wont detect the scanner, only the printer.
I forgot to mention that i recently installed Solus 4.4 to this machine.

Thanks a lot 🙂 epsonscan2 worked just fine, had to refresh a few times before it found the scanner.
