This is probably about as far as I'm going to get. I sincerely doubt that GParted or KDE Partition Manager will format a partition with the Be File System. I won't give up without trying, though. As I recall, that list of formats is very long.

A closer look reveals that the Haiku installer has a [Set up partitions] button. When I open up the partitioning dialog, the only instruction is to select a partition from the list below. Apparently selecting one does nothing, and there's no button to apply what it says it needs. And no [Next] button. and no [Back] button, so I'm pretty much at a loss at this point. I must have done something else wrong. I think I'll slowly start over and look for anything I might have overlooked.

I should move this to the Other Interesting Distros thread. I didn't realize this was going to turn into a full-blown review. I should probably check to see if I can successfully install it, though, before I post anything there. Otherwise it would be my shortest review by far.
