fbg13 Your sound issue (#2), thanks, mine works now too after restart.

@ReillyBrogan @beerminer Do you mind installing the gdm package from unstable, rebooting, checking if that works? Just a shot in the dark here. If not, you may see different logging (that has been added) that I'd ideally like to see:

sudo eopkg install https://packages.getsol.us/unstable/g/gdm/gdm-3.32.0-43-1-x86_64.eopkg

ibus issue, not switching to second input. Shortcut also not working!!

@JoshStrobl Same issue upon boot. Is there a good place for me to upload my full log files? My username on dev.getsol.us is the same.

A few more details about my setup:

  • The root volume is LUKS encrypted and on NVME storage. THE EFI partition is also on the same NVME disk.
  • I have other LUKS encrypted disks however they are configured to only mount on-demand.
  • I have systemd-resolved configured to be the primary resolver for the system (I'm not sure this is relevant but I do see it mentioned in one of the links you posted). The reason behind this is that I am using OpenVPN and I wanted the DNS servers for it to be dynamically added upon connection.

ReillyBrogan I would certainly suggest reporting it on our development tracker, and I can investigate it first thing tomorrow. I apologize that you've encountered this breakage, we'll try to get to the bottom of this!

@Diamond-Dewan What shortcut are you trying to use for input switching, Windows key + Spacebar? (That's the supported shortcut). Also interesting since I've heard other reported such as from @yursan9 that IBUS does in fact work 🤔

@fbg13 I'll get a fix deployed early tomorrow to add in the rundep. Thanks for letting me know!

After today's update something is causing serious crashes of TF2 frames dropping to 9fps and the audio is popping up during the game. I'm running the system on a Xeon E3-1241 v3 + 8GB RAM + RX 570 4GB. This is also happening in everyday activities like using firefox.

JoshStrobl Shortcut switching (SuperKey + SpaceBar) now working after executing
sudo eopkg check | grep Broken | awk '{print $4}' | xargs sudo eopkg it --reinstall
Tray icon "Keyboard Layout" switching not fixed, it only shows default layout.

JoshStrobl Plata is beautiful, but the black that comes by default is very strong and the Plata Lumini taskbar in the budgie looks awful. I use other themes.

Everything works perfectly over here, as usual in Solus. Only the "ToDo extension" is gone, like I expected.

        Greetings, Evert

Solus 4 Gnome Edition user here. The update did NOT go well for me sadly. Also, I have no extensions enabled. Started experiencing issues as soon as I rebooted. I'll try to list all my issues thus far and I'll add a link for my system details as well.

        1. When pressing Windows (or super key) to access the overview, type in an app say Files or Tweaks, and the system freezes/hangs for about 7 seconds (CPU caps out at 100% during this time). It doesn't do it for all apps that I try to access from typing their name out and hitting enter, but it does for quite a lot of them.
        2. I don't know quite how to say it, but everything is smaller. Font is smaller, windows are smaller, it's like everything is scaled down maybe? I'm not sure exactly, but comparing a screenshot I took from 3.28 to the 3.32 now, the terminal app for example is smaller, not just in window size, but everything about it is smaller. I hope this issue makes some sense?
        3. (more to come, will report back after further testing)

Scotty-Trees I'm having similar issues with random things freezing/locking up. It seems to be temporary but can last a few seconds. It even happens when I move a window around for more than a second or so.

          Using Budgie.

@Scotty-Trees triengage I also am having freezing/lockup issues that seem temporary and last for a few seconds. It happens more frequently when I move windows around or accelerated things. Budgie + Nvidia (Latest)

I have this one too. It's because of Nvidia Driver. I uninstall the proprietary driver, and the issue is gone
