Dell WD22TB4 Driver for Solus

Recently got Dell WD22TB4 dock to be able to switch between my Windows laptop and Linux. However on Dell website below there is only an Ubuntu driver listed. Anyway for me to install on Solus or I'm sore out of luck?

Isn't that a firmware update utility not a driver?

I can't be sure, but if it works in Ubuntu LTS Linux it should work in Solus, as the drivers would have to be in the kernel to work with ubuntu.

seems like some mismatch in library version between the dell update and snap core18?

You are running a firmware update intended for ubuntu in Solus. If you want to update the firmware use the windows laptop.

I did a look around and I believe that the WD22 and WD19 are basically the same thing. WD19 has been supported since kernel 5.10.16 so should work with Solus straight out of the box. Certainly once the updates are done. Don't install Solus while docked though.

That being said, my Lenovo dock never worked properly with any distro so I gave up on it.

jmarulli But that's not a driver. It's a firmware update.

The driver is probably included with Linux.
