didnt solus use to have a popup notification when there are new updates?
it doesent now, not on plasma, not on my install anyway (wayland).
i wouldnt have found the samba update if i didnt accidently have a look around the software center.

i have all the settings enabled - automatically check for updates, on metered connections, every hour, all updates. cant see anything about it in the plasma notification settings either

is there a eopkg command to list the number of updates? im quite used to using a script/conky to show me if there are new updates, and how many. but eopkg lu lists them, and even provides output when there are no updates so im not sure how to turn that into something that counts the number of updates for me to use in conky.

anyway..no huge deal

me too having the same.
Normal but no alert and now i check the software center and find updates are there waiting for me

did not see a physical banner popup but I'm not at the computer every second.
but I had the tray indicator turn blue so I knew an update was there.

I do not know if they did away with the popup or not/cannot answer. Even that times out a 5 seconds or less so is there a chance you missed it?

I get update notifications on Solus Gnome, if that helps.

Hmm, maybe something going wrong with our solus-update-checker script (part of the Software Center).

Staudey should solus-update-checker run at startup?
if i launch it in terminal i get the notification, but it doesent stay long
