To people who are affected by this issue:
If (as a temporary fix) you want to test the change that will soon land in the stable shannon repo , you can open a terminal and type in:
sudo chown -c root:sambashares /var/lib/samba/usershare && sudo systemctl restart smb.service
The workaround has been tested to work by the OP in this thread.
