Hello Teams and everyone!
known Solus is the answer for Linux to the Desktop, are there plans to make it easy for Solus install to join MS Domain?
I mean, in companies people have choice of OS now (more flex than years ago) but the main need and requirement is for those people choosing MacOS or Linux to benefit from shared resources and work like anyone and AD is widely implemented here and there,
1- is Solus being prepared for such reality?
2- if I get a job in an organisation with MS stuff deployed how easy is it going to be for me to join the domain, access the shared resources and use them or some of them?

Thanks for you answers

unclemez I'm working for a Microsoft company, and I can access everything I need. We're an Microsoft365 company, so I log in through a browser at office.com. I have the Teams Flatpak installed, and LibreOffice can handle most of the other work I don't want to do in the browser versions of MS products. Authentication is done through DUO Security, installed on my phone, so no worries there. I can link Thunderbird or my mail app if needed, but typically I install Edge and 1Password. That way I have all my sign ins and stuff and I install PWAs for Outlook and some of our other software.

Brucehankins thanks and I appreciate but that's too much of replacements or subs.
What i mean is soft and easy/almost transparent integration.
there is Linux distro called Zentyal that does good job unto bringing AD stuffs to Linux etc. but how deep and transparent can we be when joining a MS based pro network using our Linux box?
there are many progress made on Linux but that area is like a bit unexplored and we still have to rely substitutes which often doesn't deliver as great as we want or our employer wish ... there should be a solution, a suitable one !

Brucehankins I have the Teams Flatpak installed

      just a heads-up:
I used the more popular one of the two teams flatpaks that were available an flathub. They delisted it some time ago (around Feb-March, telling from the "Installs over time" section of the less popular one) and urged users to switch to the PWA instead.
      Didn't look further into it, so - as I said - just a heads-up 🙂
