Great Update

I need to leave the house in a few minutes, but I was happy to find that our Friday Update had arrived, and what an update it is. 251 upgraded packages on my Plasma laptop. I can't wait to get home and check out all the changes. Could new .ISO files be very far away now? 🤣

i wonder how the update would go if going straight from the ancient iso (as im currently not on solus) - perhaps its better to wait for the new iso?

Lucien_Lachance I installed 4.3 on my laptop recently, and then updated.
There were quite a few updates, but the whole process for me was done in about 5 minutes, including reboot.

Lucien_Lachance I had decided to wait until the 4.4 ISO, but I did a fresh Solus Plasma 4.3 install the other day. Close to 1,000 updates, but all went smoothly. This morning brought an additional 235 updates.

Lucien_Lachance so true! On EOS I regularly had between 20-60 updates daily. I had update checker set to run every hour. Hour one 8, hour two 2, hour three 15, and it never stopped. I didn't turn my laptop on for about three days at one point and was greeted with 258 updates.

Lucien_Lachance I was struck by 235, too. But, among other things, Plasma is now updated from 5.25 to 5.27, so I imagine that accounts for some of it, at least.

Over 1.1 GB of updated packages on Budgie - no fresh installation but the 4.3 I had used since it came out fresh.
No hitch whatsoever!

yeah welcome back to my computer solus.

i think there was 1.6 gigs of updates, but i might be mistaken, but the new repos are fast so no problem.
chose plasma, decided im a wayland kind of guy now, so only option afaik for now.
odd how ive gotten used to pacman commands and keep getting it wrong.

I noticed that Brave lost all registrations.
I had to sign in on my favorite websites again.
No big deal, just mentioning.

Power settings were all mixed up.

Edit: Using Plasma desktop.

MikeK61 I am using Brave, on Solus Budgie. Didn't notice anything of the sort you are describing. Both Gmail and Proton sites sign in automagically, as always. Same with Solus Forums.
