ok thanks i thought as much.
New disto release and current users
brent Before opening the forum, on Reddit, Josh rec'd waiting for the iso, but in light of the fast pipeline and updates recently, I'm inclined to think waiting is not necessary. Your thoughts? Premature? Im in the process of cloning an OS and preparing Solus Budgie a HDD of its own today.
I intend to wait until the ISO is released, but that is because my current circumstances suggest that is the prudent thing for me to do. But I think that those currently using Solus should update as soon as possible, keep updating as updates are available, and make a decision about reinstalling from the ISO when the ISO is released.
tomscharbach t I think if time permits I will reinstall and fire it up...the only advantage to waiting for me (budgie) would be that nemo is integrated and nautilus removed and no chance of me mucking that up.
I appreciate your two cents, thank you
This might be helpful...ISO Updates are still being tracked here. Not sure if this is the full "no 4.4 ISO before these are finished" but it's something to look at.
Brucehankins I saw this--one checkmark at a time

Brucehankins I think that 10440 (Solus 4.4) has been removed from the Portal and replaced by 10476 (Solus 4.5) today. I'm glad to see that Secure Boot support remains in the list and that Flatpak integration is a STRETCH goal.
tomscharbach maybe, it was updated yesterday. Possibly two simultaneous work streams?

Edit/Update: @Brucehankins I think you are right, and that T10440 and T10476 are simultaneous projects. The header to T10476 says "The bigger feature release after 4.4" It looks like T10440 will be a quick ISO build pushed out quickly and T10476 will be released when planned features have been incorporated. Don't know why T10440 seems to have been dropped from the list.
Brucehankins Maybe, but T10440 doesn't seem to be on the list anymore:
Your guess is as good as mine, but I think that T10440 has been superseded by T10476.

if that's correct I wonder what the quick iso would have that the updates did not?
tuxlover4 Also as current user of Solus i was wondering once the new iso images are released do I need to download and reinstalll from them or will having a fully updated system ( I use shannon repo and have the CDN repo installed) be enough?
No, as an existing user you don't have to reinstall. Solus always has been about "install once, update forever".
tomscharbach Don't know why T10440 seems to have been dropped from the list.
That list only shows the freshly created tasks. It has a limited number of entries, and at some point a task will drop from it. This has nothing at all to do with the status of the task and is purely a reflection of age (and even that it does poorly, as it depends on how fast other tasks are created).
Both T10440 for ISO 4.4 and T10476 for ISO 4.5 are active tasks.
Staudey Okay I understand. Great as both my laptop and desktop are fully updated as of today with no problems using shannon repo and CDN . Looking forward to Solus 4.4 /4.5/5.0 . I saw elsewhere where we might have version 4.4 out by May . I hope so because as I understand it if you don't upload a new distro ISO image by the end of June or July then Distrowatch website will change the status from dormant to discontinued automatically . This would be a shame as we are making such excellent progress over the past week or so in resurrecting Solus from near "death" . Again thank you for your prompt reply and for your hard work . It is appreciated.

That is not at all true.
