Solmann I've tried a lot of terminal emulators. some could care less about your failure, some will tell you exactly what went wrong with a command and tell you how to do it right, and some in-between.
I don't know if distro maintainers bake the helpfulness into their default terminals or the terminal's creators do. Either way. But I have NEVER seen Flatpak say, in any terminal, "hey your search
or install
won't work without adding the Flathub repo. To do that enterBLAHLAHremote-addBLAHBLAH
to begin." Long story short, while you would love to see it a sticky I think (distro devs or app creators) should be making the terminal tell you. The terminal was kind enough to tell you what failed--what's another sentence to tell you how to fix it? [Unless Flatpak does tell you in a verbose
setting and I missed it any my whole rant is invalid?].
Anyhoos. Enjoy Libre Wolf. I always found it snappy and responsive and safe. Several months ago I spent a week (trial and error) hardening my Firefox (not Libre) where I thought it should be. In some ways I took it beyond Libre Wolf. So I didn't need Libre anymore. But that was an 'under-the-hood' adventure on only needs to do once.
