brent I use KeePass/KeePassXC cross-platform on Windows/Linux, and have for a decade. Excellent track record, well-maintained, simple, absolutely reliable. I didn't realize that KeePass had CLI capabilities so I didn't mention KeePass in response to your post. If you prefer CLI to GUI, you might want to take a look, as @Solarmass suggested. KeePass/KeePassXC is a quality password manager.
brent I realize repos are wishes. I sat in Ubu auditioning most of their 87 password managers. Just like Solus. Many didn't launch after install. Many non-functional. Many missing elements. ... That's the fatal flaw of a ridiculously huge repo(s) I'm starting to understand.
Lesson learned? Linux users love to bleat on and on about the endless number of available apps, but the hard reality is that most apps offered to Linux users in the repos are poorly conceived, poorly designed, and poorly maintained if maintained at all. A train wreck in waiting from a security/malware perspective.
